InDesign Tip

I recently had an issue that needed to be resolved for some documentation in InDesign. I had a few separate .indd files that needed to be combined into one document. I couldn't find a way to copy the pages and paste them into a single file. But what you can do is drag pages from one document to another. Warning! Not everything gets moved. Adobe's support site has a list of things that will transfer and others that won't.

For example, in my situation, the items that were on the Master Pages did not transfer. So I simply copied the items and did a Paste in Place to get them into the new documents Master Pages.

Don't forget that you can use Window > Arrange to tile the documents to facilitate this kind of move.
