I've been published! Layers Magazine is featuring a tutorial written by yours truly on their website. The tutorial - Getting Dynamic with Illustrator and Flash - is about bringing Illustrator artwork into Flash and then using ActionScript to pull text into a menu dynamically.

Yet another blog has been produced, this one focusing on my favorite application, Adobe Illustrator. Using Illustrator will have articles on Illustrator tips and techniques.

In addition to my own blog, I have created two new blogs, one which will focus on Flash and the other on Photoshop. Using Flash will focus on Flash features and topics related to Flash development. Using Photoshop will focus on Photoshop tools, palettes, features, and issues. I wanted to branch out from the typical news format of my original blog to focus more on the 2 apps that I use all the time.

In July of 2005, I was commissioned by Northern Essex Community College, where I am an adjunct faculty member, to re-design their website. The former site had major inconsistencies in form and the navigation was horrible. The proposal for the new site was to make it Section 508 compliant, navigable, and consistent. New Flash features were added to make portions of the site easier to update. The site can be viewed at: http://www.necc.mass.edu/

I posted some icons at the Adobe Studio site for download. Click on the drop down next to the Illustrator icon and choose Symbols. They are called odd icons.

I finally took and passed the Adobe Photoshop ACE exam. I am now officially an Adobe Photoshop Expert.
